HENRY CARPENTER

Very little was known of Henry Carpenter until recently, when a well-maintained file of his correspondence with Sardar Bahadur Laden La and Mr. P.W.. Laden La was found amongst the latter's voluminous papers. "Pat" as Mr. P.W. Laden La was called, was the younger son of that quintessential frontier man, Sardar Bahadur Laden La.

What follows are letters that were exchanged by the Laden Las, both father and son, and Henry Carpenter, between 1926 and 1937. Only letters and news clippings of possible interest to the curious visitor to these pages, have been included in this record.
